Joe Casey from Detroit post-punk heroes Protomartyr joins Nicole Tadpole to talk about the band’s new album, Formal Growth In The Desert.

The record reflects on a time of huge transition for the frontman and lyricist, who recently lost his mum and got married all within a short period of time. Joe talks to Taddy about how the band overcame personal and collective challenges to make their most “upbeat” record yet, and what it’s been like inviting Kelley Deal into the Protomartyr fold.
