Queer View Mirror: FIGJAM on 'Ending Strip searching In Australian Prisons'

Queer View Mirror are joined by Georgia Sheales from FIGJAM (Formerly Incarcerated Girls Justice Advocacy Melbourne) to discuss their new report Ending Strip Searching In Australian Prisons.

A collaboration with the Human Rights Law Centre and FLAT OUT, the report calls for strip searches in Australian prisons to be banned in law by all governments in Australia, and consists of accounts of prisoners' lived experiences, revealing a lack of credible evidence that strip searches actually work.

More information on the report and FIGJAM can be found here.
