Steven Williams, drummer and manager of legendary Sydney group The Particles, joins Sam on Press Colour to talk about the band’s retrospective, 1980s Bubblegum. Steven discusses the band’s origins in the punk scene playing alongside bands like The Saints, and the evolution of their iconic pop sound which would go to influence countless other Australian bands. The pair also reflect on how the Melbourne music community embraced The Particles and the role RRR played in that.
