Mel is joined by Melissa Lucashenko, a Goorie author of Bundjalung and European heritage to talk about her highly anticipated new novel, Edenglassie (University of Queensland Press). The story torches Queensland's colonial myths and reimagines Australia's future with verve, intelligence, and blistering energy - it's an epic tale following two stories set five generations apart. The two discuss the novel's themes which touch on language, love, family, land, and justice. Melissa also does a brilliant reading of the novel and spotlights Winona, a fiery activist and one of the book's main characters.
