Guest host Kirby Fary is joined by Jo Whitehouse, General Manager of Support Services at MND Victoria, to chat about the prevalence of Motor Neurone Disease in Victoria, the services available for people living with MND, the upcoming Blue Cornflower Day, and the legacy of Neale Daniher’s MND advocacy.
“One of the things with MND is that as the disease progresses, people’s needs change, and that happens often quite quickly … they were finding it really hard to access that through the typical government systems. So that’s how MND Victoria started; basically as a gap filler, because the systems weren’t able to support people well.”
