Ben Harrington chats with twenty-three year old Charlie Gill, the founding editor of North Fitzroy’s hyperlocal community newspaper The Rotunda.
Named after the iconic Rotunda in Edinburgh Gardens, the paper is printed and distributed to homes and cafes across North Fitzroy.
“I think that the best thing about the Rotunda that makes it unique… is the fact that it’s print. It’s mainly print. That’s the priority… to have an object that’s only purpose is to [be] read and appreciate[d] is really important and that it something that small publications should be embracing.”
