Future Perfect: The Science Behind Our Weird Thoughts And Habits

For over a decade, Dr Jen has been pondering and exploring questions about our habits, behaviours and how the world works on Triple R’s regular Weird Science segment with the Breakfasters.

Now, for the first time, she has put her exhaustive research and expertise into a book - ‘Why am I like this?’ – which explain some of our strangest habits and behaviours through science.

She joined Dylan Bird on Future Perfect to chat about how the book came to be, the importance of science communication and becoming a ‘jack-of-all-trades’ science researcher due to her endless quest to know more about how the world works.

“There’s nothing I love more than constantly having my ears out for what would be a fun topic to research and talk about with the breakfasters – I’ve been doing it for a decade. People say to me ‘are you ever going to run out of things to talk about?’ and I’m like ‘no, never!’”
