Tyler, The Creator - IGOR (Columbia/Sony)**Album of the Week

The prodigious and prolific 28 year old creates his most refined and emotionally charged album to date, spinning through hip hop, soul and funk ballads with a cast of exceptional collaborators including Solange, Santigold, Slowthai, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, Pharrell and Charlie Wilson.



Pinch Points - Moving Parts (ROOLETTE RECORDS)

The debut from the Melbourne post-punk outfit follows their much hyped 2018 EP Mechanical Injury. With Moving Parts, they continue to produce serrated, angular guitar riffs, anthemic group chorus' and urgent social commentary.



Christelle Bofale - 'Swim Team' EP (Father/Daughter/Redeye Worldwide)

The Congolese American songwriter and guitarist's debut EP sways and stretches under the power and accuracy of her malleable yet restrained vocal talents, guided along by gentle acoustic guitar lines and AM-rock drum beats.



Various Artists - The Nature Volume 1 (Tokyo Dawn Records)

The German soul and funk label releases its first collection of Australian voices, collating offerings from the likes of DRMNGNOW, Natalie Slade, Eliza Dickson, and Ruru.



Steve Lacy - Apollo XX1 (3QTRAWAL)

The former member of funk troupe The Internet, releases his debut solo EP; an impressively restrained yet playful collection of bedroom pop, hip hop and soul from the accomplished 21 year old.



Lee "Scratch" Perry - Rainford (On-U Sound)

The Jamaican Reggae titan and the man the call the Upsetter returns with a 9 track LP, his most intimate and personal to date, narrating the story of his life from growing up on a plantation, to becoming an international musical superstar.



Carla Geneve - 'Carla Geneve' EP (Dot Dash / Remote Control Records)

The debut EP from the relatable and captivating West-Australian singer songwriter follows high profile supports for the like of Gareth Liddiard, Jen Cloher and Abbe May.



Flowdan - Full Metal Jacket (Tru Thoughts)

The one-time member of infamous 2000s grime crew Roll Deep, takes the city of London as his muse in his new LP Full Metal Jacket. Flowdan explores the multicultural melting pot of his hometown and it's dark underbelly; beautiful and welcoming to tourists, but sometimes dark and troublesome for its residents.



Various Artists - Outro Tempo Ii – Electronic And Contemporary Music From Brazil 1984-1996 (Music From Memory)

Music from Memory curates a collection of tracks diving into the sounds coming out of the Brazilian underground in the 80s and 90s.



Earth - Full Upon Her Burning Lips (Sargent House)

The seattle drone-riff veterans strip their sound back to it's essentials, restraining their more epic tendencies for an efficient and economic version of noise, focused on seismic repetition.
