Presents Einstein A Go-Go
Exploring the wonders of science and its impact on the world.
How and when did you first connect with Triple R?
When I first came to Melbourne from Germany in 2016, I was looking for independent radio stations as it’s super confusing for non-native speakers when the radio presenters also read through ads! I came across Triple R cycling home in the rain in Brunswick and stopping in your entrance listening to the station broadcast outside the studio entrance door. Independent music with some cool science shows? I was totally hooked!
What does Triple R mean to you?
It’s been an absolute pleasure to be on air as a guest and co-host of one of the shows on Triple R. Connecting with incredible scientists and people, having a safe space to explore my radio outreach and even getting the chance to fill in on Breakfasters every now and then has meant so much to me and my quest to spread science with the world. Added benefit of friends pulling me up on hearing my voice on radio without knowing I do this :D
Describe your happy place
Standing on the beach with my feet in the water and my dogs running around freely in the sunshine, just listening to the waves without a worry in the world. Bliss.
Any phobias?
Cockroaches and toads! They might be allowed to exist… just not near me.
All-time favourite snack?
Sour patches and any other (seriously) sour gummy bear variety (especially Haribo ones)!
Favourite book or movie?
I will recommend reading The Invention of Nature by Andrea Wulf to anyone and everyone who listens until my last breath. Also Walter Moers’ A Wild Ride Through The Night - just brilliant German writing as well as Goethe’s Faust (a German must read for every school kid) - the devil in poodle form? Brilliant!
The studio door has accidentally jammed shut with you stuck inside. If there was only one album in there with you, what would you want it to be and why?
Die Ärzte - Planet Punk or Farin Urlaub - Endlich Urlaub. Too hard to choose between the 2 of them!
