The year may be winding down, but the Triple R Performance Space is still heating up this December! We're thrilled to be the host to three super shows next month.

First up, on Thursday 5 December, join us for an electrifying set by Precious Bloom in the Triple R Performance Space, hosted by Phoebe Crehan of The Planetarium.

The Jakarta-based duo combines the talents of record digger/producer Aradea Barandana and vocalist Adinda Dwimadasari. Their music merges Euro disco rhythms with lush soundtrack scores and Indonesian city pop melodies.

Making their first Australian tour and appearing at Meredith Music Festival, this will be a rare chance to catch their fusion of nostalgic grooves and experimental dance styles, Live at RRR.

Then, on Wednesday 11 December, Frenzee will record a special set in Triple R's Performance Space, hosted by Clara Slewa of Velvet Haze.

Born in Melbourne and based in Crete, Frenzee are three siblings from the legendary Xylouris family. Following their acclaimed 2024 Australian tour, the band returns to Naarm to play tracks from their debut What's Wrong With Me, a blast of punk energy with roots in Cretan folk music.

And finally, we're excited for SmartArts to take over the Triple R performance space for a very special broadcast on Thursday 19 December from 9am to celebrate the show's 20th anniversary!

Richard Watts OAM first brought Triple R's flagship morning arts program to life in December 2004, hosting hundreds of conversations every year with local artists, established talent and international touring legends from across the visual and performing arts spectrum.

To celebrate twenty years on the airwaves, SmartArts will broadcast live from the Triple R Performance Space, featuring a bevvy of talent including: comedian Tom Ballard, cabaret rockers Otto & Astrid, MTC's Artistic Director Anne-Louise Sarks, comedian and musician Geraldine Quinn, theatre icons Susie Dee & Patricia Cornelius and musical performances from Peggy Frew and Guy Blackman Band, with more to be come!

All of Richard's segment regulars will also drop by, so expect some good banter from Comics enthusiast Bernard Calleo, Visual Arts expert Tai Snaith & Theatre reviewer Anne-Marie Peard.

Plus, free pastries and tasty morning brews from Everyday Coffee who'll be commandeering the official Triple R Kitchen Coffee Machine.
