Live at RRR June News

June is just around the corner, and we're pumped for another great month of Live at RRR performances!

First up, on Wednesday 4 June, catch a special set by Jessica Pratt (US), hosted by Lauren Taylor and Simon Winkler of Breaking and Entering. The Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter visits Australia for the first time in a decade, performing songs from her acclaimed 2024 album Here in the Pitch. With her singular voice and orchestral folk arrangements, catch this intimate session amid her two RISING dates at Melbourne Recital Centre.

Then, on Tuesday 10 June, The Horrors (UK) deliver a nocturnal set from the Triple R Performance Space, hosted by Andrew Delaney of Banana Lounge Broadcasting. The beloved British band have just released their new album Night Life - a fresh chapter centred around core duo Faris Badwan and Rhys Webb, with new members Amelia Kidd and Jordan Cook. From their 2007 debut Strange House to Mercury-nominated Primary Colours, The Horrors have consistently reinvented their sound, and Night Life sees them exploring the places your mind goes when the rest of the world is asleep.

And finally, come Friday 20 June, Rita Satch plays songs from her debut album Meet Me in the Garden, hosted by Johnny Topper of New & Groovy. Co-produced with Felix Bloxsom (SIA, Genesis Owusu) and mixed by three-time Grammy winner Ben Kane (D'Angelo, Emily King), the album blends smooth soul with contemporary R&B and orchestral textures. Featuring some of Melbourne's most celebrated musicians and a 12-piece string orchestra, Satch channels the timeless elegance of Marvin Gaye while exploring themes of love, loss and renewal.
