Live at RRR This August!

It's almost August, which means that Radiothon is just around the corner! What better way to celebrate all things Triple R than a ripper Live at RRR lineup.
Joining us next month:
On Friday 1 August, Roger Knox - beloved as the 'Koori King of Country' - brings his powerful voice to Triple R. Hosted by Bumpy and Emmy of Pebbles.
The proud Gomeroi man from Moree weaves together country, gospel and folk traditions, singing of the Stolen Generations, connection to Country, and cultural pride. He'll be playing songs from Buluunarbi and the Old North Star, his first studio album in over 12 years and importantly his first collection of original songs in a more than 50-year career.
Then to kick off our Radiothon celebrations, Frente! play the Triple R Performance Space on Friday 15 August, hosted by Tim Thorpe of Vital Bits.
With their poignant folk and acoustic-driven pop, Frente! became a defining voice of 90s indie. Songs like Accidently Kelly Street, Ordinary Angels, and their cover of Bizarre Love Triangle, remain classics.
Join us Thursday 21 August, Surprise Chef bring their jazz-funk and cinematic soul to Triple R, hosted by Ennio Styles of Stylin'.
The Naarm/Melbourne five-piece will play tracks from their fourth album Superb, their most upbeat, groove-driven record yet. Each song was recorded live-to-tape in a single take, an energetic collection of tracks with influences ranging from Ennio Morricone to Timbaland.
And finally, on Friday 29 August, local duo Loose Tooth bring their doo-wop harmonies and fuzzy riffs to the Triple R Performance Space, hosted by Fee B-Squared of Maps.
Friends since crèche and bandmates since age 14, Nellie and Etta are celebrating the release of New Age - an album exploring themes of motherhood, grief, politics, against a backdrop of delightful harmonies, synthy interludes and soaring grunge guitar moments.
The Triple R Performance Space is exclusive to Triple R supporters – the perfect reason to subscribe or renew during Radiothon!
