June announce

We're excited to be welcoming some great acts to the Triple R Performance Space this June! Come and cosy up with these fabulous artists:

THE BATS (NZ)

Aotearoa indie legends The Bats return to Australia and will be swinging by the Triple R Performance Space for Live at RRR on Friday 5 June, hosted by Sam Cummins of Press Colour.

An essential part of the Flying Nun story, The Bats have maintained the same line up since 1982 and have become one of New Zealand's most consistent and celebrated bands.

The special set will feature a live accompaniment to their much-loved 2025 album, Corner Coming Up, as well as selections from their four-decades-deep back catalogue.

JEREMY DOWER

On Friday 12 June, Bendigo-based electronic artist Jeremy Dower performs a rare live set in the Triple R Performance Space, hosted by Dan Dare of How High The Moon.

Running the gamut from beats-based, club-forward sounds to more introspective electronica, Jeremy has carved out a singular space in the electronic underground since the late 90s.

Jeremy's musical journey has included designing live visuals for Gotye to having his music included on The Simpsons, and is now being properly documented through Chapter Music's recent reissue series.

MUSIC IN EXILE SHOWCASE

feat. Ashkan Shafiei + Shewita

For Refugee Week 2026, Triple R will host a showcase of local label Music In Exile featuring performances from Iranian/Sydney artist Ashkan Shafiei and local Eritrean R&B singer Shewita, hosted by Nana Owusu of Baseline.

Music in Exile is a Naarm based record label and registered charity supporting musicians with lived experience of migration and displacement who are living and working in the Australian music industry.

Hear a selection of live music from the label's roster, from the Iranian funk of Ashkan Shafiei to the future forward electronic pop and R&B of Shewita.

CARLA DAL FORNO

Castlemaine-based bedroom pop singer Carla dal Forno performs an intimate set in the Triple R Performance Space on Friday 26 June, hosted by Hal Langley of Local and/or General.

Now four records into her solo career, Carla dal Forno has carved out a unique place in the Australian underground beginning with her work in experimental bands Fingers and Tarcar.

Her latest album Confession is a masterclass in restraint and atmosphere, delivering bittersweet melodies with emotional precision in Carla's trademark conversational vocal style.
