The Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency are raising funds to help ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in VACCA’s foster care, kinship care, residential care and other VACCA programs receive a gift at Christmas and families have support with household essentials like groceries and toiletries.

Last year, VACCA’s supporters ensured that over 2500 Christmas gifts reached children. With Victoria’s most vulnerable families having been severely impacted by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and recession, this year the need is even greater.

VACCA are inviting individuals and groups to get involved. You can register to fundraise or simply make a donation.

If you register to fundraise, you’ll get a dedicated fundraising page, helping you to spread the word to your friends, family, work colleagues, school, group and more. VACCA have created this Christmas Fundraising Host Pack full of online resources to learn more about Culture over the holiday season and to get you started to fundraise remotely or with family. There are some great activities and info in the resources pack – jump in and check it out.

You might like to register soon, if you have upcoming gatherings with friends and family, so VACCA can be in touch and support your efforts.

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
