YMI presents her debut headline gig at Bad Decisions Bar with ‘YMI’S EEEEEEE AND THE TINNITUS BEES’. As one might gather from the name, this gig is going to be loud, and it’s going to be fun. With support acts SaraH, XANDRI, and Sophia Maltarollo, you’re invited to a lineup stacked with variety, from tap-dancing, to impressive vocal ability, and classic rock songwriting. This gig also has 3 people called Nick playing on the night, and as such this is now classed as a Nick event and we are CALLING ON ALL NICKS. If you have a Nick, know a Nick, or if you yourself are a Nick, this is the event for you. YMI herself is a pop rock singer/songwriter emerging from the depths of student radio. With a lifelong interest in story telling, her work is propelled by vivid lyricism and a sound best described as dark, brooding textures with a soaring lightness. Her original music shares the themes and textures of Radiohead, Fleetwood Mac, and Kate Bush. Even though YMI’s songs have made bassist, Nick, cry on several occasions, the sets end up being colourful and fun as hell. We’d love to see you there!
