Yaluk-ut Weelam Ngargee Festival Family Day

Yaluk-ut Weelam Ngargee Family Festival is a free family-friendly celebration of Australia’s Indigenous cultures. Pop down to St Kilda’s iconic O’Donnell Gardens on Saturday 2 February to join in the celebration through live music, dance, arts, food and activities.

Held from 11:00am until 5:00pm, the Burndap Performance Space kicks off with a Welcome to Country before performances by Indigenous Hip Hop Projects, Brett Lee, Kee’ahn and Robert K Champion.

There will be a dedicated Djeembana Activity Space, featuring South Melbourne Market favourite Mabu Mabu cooking workshops, drop-in sports and plenty more. The Yulendj Workshop Space includes face painting and craft activities, Sustainable Port Phillip kids activities, the Port Phillip Story Hub, pom-pom making, basket weaving, boomerang burning and heaps more.

There will be market stalls, with plenty of room to enjoy the sun in the gardens and plenty of entertainment for the whole family.
