demodisk is the recording project of Tim Palstra (Purr Usual, Gena Rose Bruce, Ghost Bumps, FORNER) which serves as an outlet for Tim’s songs, most of which have been written in between work hours on a $100 acoustic guitar in the front seat of his beloved ‘cheese machine’ (an offensively yellow old Mazda 3). The recordings reflect Tim’s fondness for the lineage of 90s guitar-based music, with other influence drawn from the sounds of modern shoegaze, slow rock and DIY indie rock/pop.

The live band consists of close friends Max Karklins (Purr Usual, Gena Rose Bruce), Gabe Strachan (Purr Usual), Zoe Jenner (Elaura, FORNER), Ruby Moxey-Fithall (Clear Tears, Elaura, Cantrips, FORNER) and Oly Bugg (The Bloody Norahs, Olza, Gena Rose Bruce, FORNER).
