A trio of classical guitar, drums and bass, playing some of the most famous and iconic tunes from the Latin Americas. The trio will perform compositions by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Ary Barroso from Brazil, Mongo Santamaria of Cuba, the Argentine Astor Piazzolla and a few U.S musicians who have composed in a Latin style. The trio will take these compositions a step further through improvisation, creating a unique blend of Latin, folk, classical, jazz and improvised music. Due to minimal instrumentation, the music will take on an intimate, warm, and sultry atmosphere that connects and engages with audiences. The project features rich classical guitar arrangements that bring out the melody whist filling out the harmony, supported by the earthy grooves of the drumkit and bass.
