It’s been a crazy start to 2026 for us, new vocalist Holly Purnell made her debut with Velatine at Cactus Room where we presented to an enthusiastic [and packed room] our vision of not just a duo, but an immersive sonic and visual experience. Our latest single “We’re Not Suburban" has been getting radio airplay and excellent reviews in the gothic media around the world and our clip of “Oh See Me - The Siren” [live at Creepy Hollow] was shown on EmptyVeeTV’s [USA] 5th anniversary show.
Another highlight was just this week, an interview and playing Live To Air on the 3PBS-FM dark music show, Bleeding Black Heart Review [stream on our socials]. All this has had us running and we’re not stopping, so come and hang out at Merri Creek Tavern with us and Inga Liljeström
Inga is a Finnish/ Australian whose voice has been described as "...both poisonous and addictive, everything this artist touches turns to gold." (Core and Co, France) Inga has performed extensively in Europe with her band, but more recently and now living in Melbourne, she has been exploring electric guitar as a backdrop to her dark cinematic songs, exploring love, loss, strength and fragility. Her performance promises to be intimate and immersive and was a guest vocalist on the Velatine track “Nothing to do with you” released end ‘23.
It’s great to have her supporting us in this very vibey venue. With all this we expect tickets won’t last too long.
