Natasha is a Chinese-Indonesian storyteller and teacher based in Naarm. Her work can be found on Kill Your Darlings, ABC, Australian Multilingual Project, Archer & more. Her short stories are part of the anthologies 'Everything All At Once' by Ultimo Press and 'New Australian Fiction 2023' by Kill Your Darlings. She is working on her debut, a historical fiction young adult.
Ella Skilbeck-Porter is a poet and artist living on unceded Wurundjeri Country in Naarm/Melbourne. She is a PhD candidate in French Studies at the University of Melbourne and her work has appeared in journals including Rabbit, Cordite, Runway, Going Down Swinging and Australian Poetry Journal. Her debut book of poetry and visual poetry These Are Different Waters is published with Vagabond and was shortlisted for the Helen Anne Bell Poetry Bequest.
Bridget Chappell is a writer, and reformed artist in the body of a bike mechanic. Here she'll share from an ongoing work about time travel, the sentience of container freight, ballast organisms, and things you can only see from a train you're not meant to be on.
SISTA ZAI ZANDA
Sista Zai Zanda (Sista Zai/Achihera) is an Afrofuturistic Storyteller. Sista Zai was born in Harare, Zimbabwe and raised in a large extended family. Achihera is Karanga and now lives as a Black African settler on Kulin Nations.
Amongst career highlights, Achihera is a 2019 recipient of the Neilma Sidney Travel Fund and a recipient of a Melbourne Strategic Scholarship to research for a PhD in Afrofuturisms at the University Of Melbourne.
