In 1987, when James Stewart and Dan Warner added a rhythm section to their guitar duo, the locals, as a joke, started calling them ‘The Warner Brothers’. Way before ‘alt-country’ was even thought of as a genre, The Warners were paving the way for the next generation of country lovin’ folk in the inner city.
