THE RAYES

Hailing from Seattle, Washington in The States, The Rayes is a retro folk-rock band fronted by sisters, Rebecca Stobbe (guitar/vocals) and Jordan Stobbe (bass guitar/vocals), and joined on the stage by Ben Hall (drums/percussion). Now based in Melbourne, the sisters' music features intertwined harmonies and melodic guitar lines, holding a flair reminiscent to that of '60s/'70s classic rock and folk; a style that echoes Fleetwood Mac, Laura Marling, and HAIM.

BUTTERNUT SWEETHEART

"Pulled me in, sucked me under and then I floated away with it" – Richard Kingsmill

Butternut Sweetheart is the music of Melbourne based producer and multi instrumentalist, Luke Moseley, who describes the project as ‘post apocalyptic underwater indie'. Butternut Sweethearted is inspired by the likes of Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Tune-Yards, and Melody's Echo Chamber. Year one of Butternut Sweetheart featured a total of 35 shows including two headline tours and a national support for Ball Park Music.

Butternut Sweetheart’s Debut EP, ‘Concrete Solid Lung’, presents five tracks of unique and beautifully produced indie music. ‘Bury Me’, track one, has been heard on triple j, Double J, fbi and Triple R. Floating in the musical realm between Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Radiohead, Butternut Sweetheart weaves intricately written melodies with catchy hooks and beats.

Butternut Sweetheart’s latest single, ‘If The World Wasn’t Round’, was released in October of 2020, with Declan Byrne of Triple J stating that ‘new butternut sweetheart reels you in with that moving push pull and lush production and it's a swirling ride that i had to go in on a few times in a row’.
