The Presidential Duo is Wellington's premier chamber jazz duo, playing everywhere from bars to exclusive clubs and private concerts. Appearing for the first time in Melbourne, the duo will present an eclectic set of music from the swing and bebop eras. Saxophonist Alex Trask is known for exciting original music gigs and plays lead alto in the fabled Rodger Fox Big Band. Guitarist Lockie Bennett is one of the most in demand musicians in Wellington, holding down multiple residencies and leading bands regularly. Expect to hear exhilarating tunes from the finest jazz composers, heart wrenching Broadway ballads, and danceable delights.
