The Payback are a Naarm based quartet featuring drums, bass, guitar and organ, that play jam and improvisation heavy shows, packed with musicality and soul, drawing inspiration from artists such as The Meters, James Brown, Herbie Hancock and Bob Marley. Their sets range from laid back jams that you could soak up for hours, to flying-by-the-seat-of-your-pants funk, but what ties it all together is a guarantee to put the groove first, and a determination to take risks, and make each performance new and different to the last.

Dreamy indie folk band, Michael’s Cane, weave together melodic vocal harmonies, melancholic introspection, and self-deprecating humor. The band is composed of Monnie (vocals and guitar), Jon (vocals and guitar), Jessie (vocals and bass), and Charlie (lead guitar). Their songs invite listeners to reflect, laugh, and find solace in the bitter(sweet) aspects of life.
