The Payback are a Naarm based quartet featuring drums, bass, guitar and organ, that play jam and improvisation heavy shows, packed with musicality and soul, drawing inspiration from artists such as The Meters, James Brown, Herbie Hancock and Bob Marley. Their sets range from laid back jams that you could soak up for hours, to high octane funk, but what ties it all together is a guarantee to put the groove first, and a determination to take risks, and make each performance new and different to the last.
