With multiple singles and years of accolades including a QUBE Effect win, Jungle Love & Yonder Festival performances and multiple high-energy events, Mufaro & Black Suede present their premier show for the first time in Melbourne, in celebration of Mufaro's EP, 'everything'.

Having shared the stage with many local, national and international acts, Mufaro is a Zimbabwean-born, Melbourne-based artist specialising in RnB, Soul and Afro-beat. Known for his high-energy performance style and ability to capture any crowd he’s in front of, Mufaro has been described as “one of the most promising acts” by TheMusic magazine. 

Joining the line up will be a new group hailing from Meanjin/Brisbane - The JP Collective. Fresh on the scene and ready to do some damage, The JP Collective take influence from Neo-Soul acts such as D'Angelo, Hip-Hop greats like Kendrick Lamar, combine it with tasteful harmonies the likes of Frank Ocean, and house it all under an umbrella of jazzy tones. 

Opening the evening will be uprising superstar, Kudakwashe. Hailing from your chest, on the left, Kudakwashe fuses all you know with all you don’t show on a sweet, sonic stretch of AfroFolkSound. The limit does not exist with a musician of her curiosity, entwining visceral lyricism and spirited vocals to cook up a little something special for your eardrum.
