Singer and banjo player, Maggie Carty was brought up in a musical family spanning generations in the west of Ireland. Her father, John Carty (fiddle & banjo) being one of the most sought after traditional musicians worldwide.

She has performed at some of the most prestigious festivals including Milwaukee Irish Festival USA, Austin Celtic Music Festival USA, Fiddle Tunes WA, Tonder Festival Denmark, Return to Camden Town, UK, Yeats Summer School, Galway Fringe Festival, Boyle Arts Festival, The Gathering and Fleadh Cheoil na Éireann, Ireland. She has toured Ireland, Europe and America extensively, sharing the stage with some of the most prolific musicians of the tradition including The Chieftains, Dermot Byrne, Dónal Lunny, Shane McGowan, Arty McGlynn, Mike McGoldrick, Shane McGowan, The John Carty Festival Band, and At the Racket. She has been described as having found her second home on stage and has natural stage talent.

As part of Aria award winning blues trio Collard Greens and Gravy, singer and Harmonica player Ian Collard has established himself as one of Australia’s leading blues artists, his first solo cd “Swamp Stomp and Boogie" featured recordings of him in one man band mode performing some old school gut bucket blues and boogie in the style of some of the greats like Jimmy Reed and Dr Ross. At his solo gigs you can see him perform tracks from the critically acclaimed cd that has was nominated for the Age Music Victoria award.
