THE IANS are a Naarm/Melbourne-based band of pirates who simply play very, very good high-energy punk rock which uniquely works in diverse sounds such as indie, blues and even country influences.

Formed by childhood friends, Captain Red Jacket Rick (vocals/guitar) and Ratty Redbeard (bass/vocals), the band holds a rich lore and has reached its highest evolution with powerhouses Red Ocelot aka Black Jacket Red(guitar) and Magpie Zac (drums).

The only thing tighter than this tight-knit crew is their command of their craft and stage. Creatively, THE IANS exemplify freedom in their witty and compelling songwriting and evoke a spirit of adventure and risk with their audience through debaucherous interactive performances. The band have had a supercharged 2024 so far, averaging 3-5 gigs per month , and are releasing new singles from September onward.
