Now based in Paris, jazz vocalist Hetty Kate returns to Australia for her East Coast winter tour in July. Joining her at Southside, for her first concert of the tour, are pianist Mark Fitzgibbon, bassist Nick Haywood and drummer Alex Spicer.

Hetty Kate, described as having a "natural musicality" and as "one of the best swing-style singers on the current scene", shares classics and curios from The Great American Songbook with an instantly recognizable style that is truly her own. It's this quality that has led her to perform for over five years with James Morrison's bands, and to be invited to join the ABC Jazz stable of vocalists with her album Dim All The Lights in 2013. A skillful, warm entertainer and storyteller, Hetty has released eight albums, and regularly performs at festivals in Asia, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the US.
