'The Great Duets' featuring Raleigh Williams & Garth Ploog

A Paris Cat regular, Raleigh Williams is one of Melbourne’s most respected vocalists, showcasing a magnificent voice, that draws on a background of singing in a diverse range of styles.

Years of experience performing both in Australia and internationally (Italy, Turkey, France, NZ, Indonesia)), as well as studying with some of the world’s finest vocal coaches, has delivered Williams a standing reputation as one of Melbourne’s best session singers, featuring in genres as diverse as world music, urban, country, jazz, pop and soul.

Most recently, Raleigh featured as house singer for ARIA-award winning hammond trio, Cookin on 3 Burners, over the 2019-20 season, and her french project La Nuit Blanche - regularly performs to sold out audiences all over Melbourne and beyond ( Brunswick Music Festival, Stonnington Jazz Festival, Bastille Day Melbourne, Adelaide French Festival). A regular face on the Melbourne music scene, she also performs with the Nathan Liow Trio and was fortunate to receive a City of Melbourne Grant to perform three of their popular shows ‘reimagining’ Eartha Kitt, Dusty Springfield and Nina Simone remotely over Melbourne’s lockdown in June-July.

Raleigh will be joined by accomplished musician, singer, songwriter and actor Garth Ploog.

Garth is one of Melbourne's most sought-out entertainers - to see him performing in an intimate public performance is a rare and not-to-be-missed event. His previous performance credits include working with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra as Anthony Callea's pianist, appearances on channel Ten's Offspring and the voice behind the Neighbour's television theme song - to name a few.

His grand vocal and piano talent crosses genres from pop to jazz with ease, with a natural charm and stage presence that has disarmed audiences from Melbourne to New York and beyond.

Garth and Raleigh will be presenting a program of much-loved duets - from the traditional greats Sinatra & Sinatra, Marvin & Tammy, Ella & Louis, Sam & Dave....to popular modern vocal pairings.
