The Four Scoops are a combination of four unique working musicians from differing musical heritages bound by a love of back-beat groove.

The groups musical heritage harks back to a time of melting musical styles as Jazz met early Rock n Roll. Their repertoire is wide and varied from Blues shouters Winonie Harris to Jazz back beat legend Louis Jordan to Fifties crooners to Bolero versions of Cold Chisel and Dragon hits. The Four Scoops love of variety in tunes and grooves has its basis in the diversity of the members.

Waldie Lane are a four-piece indie band born from the backrooms and garages of Melbourne/Naarm, stepping onto the stage for the very first time at Bar Open in Fitzroy. With jangly guitar lines, emotive lyricism, and an energetic live presence, they’re ready to carve their place in the city’s vibrant music scene.

In support, Balagan Blue will deliver a dynamic fusion of jazz and soul, layered with an improvisational edge. Then Altav unleash their modern rock sound — weaving soaring riffs, driving rhythms, and raw lyricism into a high-octane performance that’s equal parts powerful and cathartic.

This debut isn’t just another gig — it’s a welcome party for Waldie Lane. Three bands, one night, and the full spirit of Naarm’s live music culture in one unforgettable show. Don’t miss
