Melbourne’s own Americana/Alt Country outfit “The Distant South” make their debut at East Brunswick’s beloved “Whole LottaLove Bar” on Thursday the 23rd November from 8pm. Playing songs from their debut record - along with a growing catalogue of new material, the Distant South play music written from the heart and filled with beautiful Melodies’ and harmonies. Nick Howells’ song writing draws comparisons to other story tellers such as Paul Kelly and Jason Isbell. The Distant South have been playing across Melbourne and regional Vic for the last 18 months to a growing audience – and released their first record in 2023. They have since featured on popular community radio shows including “In the Jailhouse Tonight”, “5 feet high and rising” and “Swinging Doors”.
