The Burning Bridges play bluegrass, old-time and country blues from the bedrock of modern Americana- Carter Family, Louvin Brothers, Ola Belle Reed, Ralph Stanley, Robert Johnson, with vocal harmonies straight out of the Appalachian mountains. They also player newer material, eg Gillian Welch, Velvet Underground, plus original instrumentals. The band is led by Australian banjo legend Peter Somerville (recorded and toured with Paul Kelly etc), Andrew Forrer on double bass, Tania Bradley- fiddle, Fran Martin -vocals and tenor guitar and introducing Vinny Russel on Guitar and mandolin. The band is promoting its new album, “Down This Old Road,” at festivals around the country
