On Monday the 3rd of February at The Tramway Rick Sabbatini (Skink Tank/ Old Places) will be hosting an evening of stories and music. He'll be reading some words he's written, mostly about family, places and memories, with some experimental ambient tracks behind him.

Another speaker will be the writer/radio producer/documentarian Ruby Princess whose heartfelt half-smiling impressions on life will move you and make you chuckle.

They'll be underscored by the enchanted harp sounds of Genevieve Fry, who you may know from adventurous music groups like Cold Hands Warm Heart and Hantu. Genevieve will also be doing a solo set after Ruby.

To finish off the night will be a mystery guest who goes by the name of Agapanthus Nimby. He'll be doing some no-wave karaoke-style bush-walkin' skew-whiff-talkin' top-40 stories.

The idea is that you come checkout some urban bush poetry of a schoolnight then get to bed in time for your beauty sleep. And it's free. That's a net gain! Also Rick's Nonna did the letters for the poster and she told him she loves the poster. Gracie Nonna!

P.S there'll be a book club meeting AND a Dungeons & Dragons quest happening at the Tramway right before we begin, so it's going to be a literary bonanza on a sleepy sidestreet in Nth Fitzroy. I can smell that lemon-scented gum on the roundabout already!
