Melbourne Noise Merchants SPIDER GOAT CANYON are very pleased to celebrate 20 years of distortion!! Playing Bar Open Thursday 23rd November where they will also launch their 13th long player album titled, “Lean Nags Galloping”. Over an hour long sonic free form feast captured live at Singing Bird Studio in Frankston. Captured remotely by Greg Allen and fantastically mixed by Adam Calaitzis at Toyland Studio in Northcote. Launching to Bandcamp the week of the show. The band played their first show in Melbourne at the ESPY Public Bar on Cup Day 2003. Since then they have played countless shows, toured the length of the East Coast and across to Adelaide. Played shows in New Zealand and Toured Japan twice. They have also recorded a plethora of albums all available via Bandcamp.com. The band features the core members Deryck Hunt (Goat Witch, Daggers Mid Flight) on drums and Josh Beagley (GOUTS, Goat Witch, Daggers Mid Flight) on Bass, slaying with Toby Wrecker (HWCT, GOUTS, Daggers Mid Flight) on Guitar. SPIDER GOAT CANYON shows are never the same and embrace a harnessing of chaos through instrumental improvisation with a sub-heavy sonic assault approach. They are one of the original Victorian Improv Sludge acts and their less than frequent shows these days are not to be missed.
