Special Guest is a Post-Junk band formed in Geelong, Australia in 2024. The band's sound is an amalgamation of both Post-Punk and Noise-Rock, a combination coined as "Post-Junk". Their artistry is a beautiful array of glitchy sounds, hyper-melodic guitar, tightly wound percussion and theatrical vocals. Although Special Guest briefly disbanded in September of 2024, after an argument over the birthplace of Czech-American tennis player Martina Navratilova, the band decided to reform two days later to put out their first two releases “Habit Addict” and “Atomizer” in live studio format (now available on Youtube).

After their debut show at the Tote, alongside Bench Press, Screensaver, and The Maggie Pills, Special Guest was quick to feature in Beat magazine – who described them as “unexpected, raw, and a little chaotic”. Enmeshed in a (seemingly unnecessary) allure of mystery, Special Guest’s iconography and sound is quick to nestle in the minds of their audience. They dost most humbly beseech thee to join them for their inaugural headlining at the venerable Brunswick Artist Bar, alongside the illustriously magnificent 'Final Final' and the splendidly exalted 'Clit Split'!
