SOWETO DAY CONCERT is a South African community event to commemorate the sacrifice of the youth in the struggle against apartheid. The event has been running in Melbourne since 2004 with highlights including the inaugural concert at BMW edge featuring Barney Rachabane from Paul Simon’s Graceland and the Madiba Memorial Concert at Federation Square in 2013.
