This week ctrl + me, Ruby Milner and Roland Kershaw are stopping by for a show.

ctrl + me returns to northcote social to play 11 love songs. ctrl + me is the project of songwriter and producer Michael Vince Moin. Weird and hyperactive songwriting compliments and underscores the genre-bending sounds behind eccentric compositions and productions. Themes of love, addiction, nature, computing, psychedelia, small towns, joy and pain pervade throughout in what is a whirlwind dance of over the top, obsessively produced music.

Ruby Milner is a singer-songwriter from Melbourne, with roots in country/folk, later influenced by jazz and indie-rock sounds. Her writing combines classically inspired progressions with careful and honest lyricism, shaped by musicians such as Joni Mitchell, Adrienne Lenker and Rufus Wainwright.

Originally from the Northern Rivers, Roland has been an integral part of the Melbourne music scene since moving there in 2010. Over the years, Roland has crafted an eclectic catalogue of songs, characterised by rich imagery and emotion.
