Fresh from the launch of his brand new album, ‘The Bright Side Of Pain’, Slippy Mane plays the Tote in Collingwood, Thursday 21st of March with a huge line up of local forward thinking hip hop artists on support.

Slippy Mane, known to friends and fam as Diego Vasquez, is a Chilean-born, Australian-based rapper and visual artist in Naarm/Melbourne. Active since 2018, he has been a mainstay of underground local hip hop, tirelessly working on and improving his craft.

With the release of his new album, ‘The Bright Side Of Pain’, Slippy Mane continues to innovate and evolve, enlisting Simo Soo on production across the entire record and bringing together diverse guest spots in DoloRRes, Red Herring (HEXDEBT’s Agnes Whalan) and jourdan (of Soft Approach), the album genre hops between sci fi trap music, Jersey club, boom bap and electronica. The record is the story of a love gone wrong, running the gauntlet of loved out ecstasy to downtrodden emo, with ultimate acceptance and love for self found by the record’s end.

On support for the night are local hip hop legends Big Leng, Thamson.p & Big Chocolate
