After a much needed hiatus of quiet creative development for Team Slama -  we are back, to gather, celebrate community and give you the space to raise your voices at the Brunswick Ballroom.

Slama is a space where we celebrate intersectional community and encourage Artists to bring their absolute best work to the stage.

This is a season of coming back to our roots, gathering strength, taking risks and supporting our current team who will be competing at an international Poetry Slam, overseas in the second half of 2025.

We are back and sufficiently WARMED UP since we remembered what Slama is at our core on March 20th with all of you!

On APRIL 30th we are back UPSTAIRS at the Brunswick Ballroom and our epic 3 round slam is back with 12 poet slots available.

We are going back to our online, first come, first serve Poet Registration process. Details on how to enter the slam below.

But first, it’s crazy to think Team Slama Alumni Poet FLEASSY MALAY will be featuring at Slama for the first time, FINALLY!

Plus our Winner from last month, FLORA, will be doing a mini opener set at the top of the show.

WHO IS FLEASSY MALAY?
