Sime Nugent has toured nationally and internationally throughout Australia, Europe and America and released more than a dozen albums with a range of bands in his 25 year career.

Sime has worked under his own name; with three part acapella group Acapelicans, with indie duo Sweet Jean and three time Aria nominees - The Wilson Pickers. More recently he's played with Linda Bull in 'Stardust - songs of Willie Nelson' and with Paul Kelly on his Christmas Album, the song ' Sleep Australia Sleep' and at the legendary How to Make Gravy shows. Sime travels with a mix of his own songs and other people's.

The Capes band features Steve Hesketh, Shane Reilly, Zane Lind and Roger Bergodaz who've variously played with You Am I, The Drones, Tex Perkins Man in Black, Mick Thomas and Lost Ragas. Some of Melbourne’s finest and most experienced players on hammond organ, bass, drums, baritone and pedal steel guitars along with Sime's own agricultural nylon string guitar and evocative voice.

You should come. It'll be a good hang.

“Devastatingly powerful, highly listenable roots and pop influenced music”. Rhythms

From members of the team behind international literary phenomenon Women of Letters comes a new(ish) spoken-word art salon celebrating words, stories, and human experiences.

Better Off Said: Eulogies for the Living and Dead is afternoon of words it’s time to air.  Is there something you always wish you’d shouted aloud, someone still out there in the world waiting to hear an important message, a piece of history you feel your voice could have improved?  Now is the opportunity to leave no verbal stone unturned.  To find your closure.  To sing your truth from the rooftops before it’s too late.

Presented by Emilie Zoey Baker and Marieke Hardy.
