Indie-pop genius, Sidney, has recently released her sophomore EP ‘Sore Loser’ which features fan favourites 'Cool Girl' and ‘Competitive’.
The EP is a meticulous demonstration of alt-pop excellence. The introspective soundtrack guides listeners through the tender beginnings of a relationship, narrated from the perspective of an all-too-relatable overthinker.
Labelled as Beat Magazine’s ‘artist to watch’, the Melbourne writer has been making a name for herself, recently supporting Angus & Julia Stone, The Rubens and Gretta Ray.
Delivering bittersweet melodies laced with vulnerable lyricism, Sidney has forged a unique brand of introspective indie-pop that wraps itself around you. Her recent releases have seen tracks land on numerous editorial playlists including Spotify’s New Music Friday AU & NZ, Pop n’ Fresh and Equal NZ & AUS as well as Apple Music’s New Music Daily. Accumulating over 670K streams to date across her catalogue, Sidney has also received national airplay on NOVA and Triple J.
To celebrate the EP release, Sidney is playing a headline show in Melbourne at The Bergy Bandroom on Thursday December 7th. This show will debut Sidney’s new live line-up which now has the addition of a drummer and tracks, promising to be a high-engaging experience for her audience. Sidney will be joined by friends Kat Edwards and Saint Victoire.
