Rise King Tide swelled into existence through the monotony of lockdowns, emerging as a musical force of nature coming out of Fish Creek in South Gippsland. They bring together clear influences from the 90s alternative and grunge rock scene with an unapologetic nod to the great Australian bands of that era. RKT front man Danny Crynes (former Big League guitarist) is a master of the hook "We want you to leave the show with a head full of earworms".
They released their double A-side singles in 2021 with the punchy first track 'Lorelai' offering a clear example of the band's love of short sharp melody-packed rock songs, while the second track 'Treadmill' is a guitar infused opus that moves through distinct musical movements, at home with the post punk greats.
Currently completing their debut six track EP scheduled for release in the summer of 2022, they are sharpening their live shows with a bunch of winter and autumn dates across Melbourne and back home in Gippsland.
