Ships Piano’s live show is a mix of jangly overdriven guitars, frenetic drums and slinky basslines with a bit of cheeky banter thrown in. Songwriters Seb Hoppen and Liam Moran write brash, melodic songs about long walks home from the pub and unwanted houseguests. Ships Piano formed in high school over a love of 90s American Post-Hardcore and 80s Australian Power Pop. They have recorded and self-released two EP’s ‘Acrobats Tumble’ and ‘Casper’. Ships Piano have shared the stage with Future of the Left, Waaves, Kelley Stoltz, the Pretty Littles, The Stabs, Dick Diver and Panel of Judges among many others.
Following the launch of their last single ‘Warmth of the Bar’ in August Ships Piano will launch their first full length album, ‘Treehouse’ at Yah Yah’s on Saturday November 24!
The album will be available on vinyl and digital via WAMD! Records.
