Shellys Motor Club present their inaugural show at The Tote on Sunday 21st April.
Shellys Motor Club offer a six-piece power house derived from the undeniable influences of blues, soul, funk and rock and roll music. With the core foundation comprised of seasoned vocals, keys, guitar, bass and drums, Shellys Motor Club also features a unique horn front line, culminating a truly eclectic sound. Expect high energy original music, guaranteed to give a welcomed sense of freedom and invigoration in their youthful take and contribution to the genres that shaped them.
Along side them is genre-bending artist Oscar Ladell and alternative locals Wild Dog Mountains.
Oscar has developed a distinctive, cinematic sound, crafting songs that are at once sparse and rich. His indie-soul sound draws on his roots in his funk, soul and blues music and from his unique, incisive talent as a story teller.
Reminiscent of the sweeping Lo-fi alternative country indie rock of Silver Jews or Magnolia Electric Co. Wild Dog Mountains are an exciting new voice in the Melbourne music scene.
