Have you ever left a social interaction thinking 'I shouldn't have said that' or 'everyone hates me', your stomach in knots? Sam Sly’s latest single The Truman Show poses these questions but encourages you to dance your way through it.
Come and celebrate the release on the 29th of May at Mamma Chens with Sam and the full band. It will be a night filled with 80s inspired synth-pop to soundtrack the anxious, queer, gender-fluid experience and its highs and lows.
Sam has been featured on Triple J and opened for artists like The Rions, Lara Buchanan and Lahgo. This is for fans of MUNA, Chappell Roan, BENEE and The 1975.
The show will kick off with the amazing Alexis Remi and XANDRI!!!
So come have a boogie, and scream about your gay panic and impending anxiety. Go listen to the song before you come along so you can scream the words!!!
Mamma Chen’s acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and the Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, the true owners of the land that we live and operate on. We would like to pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
