SALLY FORD AND THE IDIOMATICS
with special guests
BRIAN NANKERVIS, HELEN GARNER and WAYNE MACAULEY
Blurring the lines between music and storytelling; song and recitation, three writers perform excerpts of their work over a lush electro-acoustic underscore provided by the Idiomatics.
This genre-defying ensemble create an entrancing sonic landscape to accompany the readings: combining synths, samples, keys, electronica, trombone, sax, flute and even a bit of whistling!
The stories, prose and poetic musings of these acclaimed writers will be bookmarked by songs from the band, featuring Sally Ford’s own wryly-observed lyrics of life, love and lived experience.
A richly imagined musical and literary experience.
