This year, the Royal Funk Party pays tribute to the greatest superhero of all - Batman! This year is the 30th birthday of Tim Burton's "Batman" starring Michael Keaton, Kim Basinger, and Jack Nicholson - and also Prince's iconic song soundtrack!

Saturday 8th June is particularly special, because it marks the 30th anniversary - to the day - of the release of Prince's #1 hit 'Batdance'. So get dressed up, come up with a good excuse to slip into your alter ego and join us at Geddes Lane Ballroom for Royal Funk Party: Batdance!

Lake Minnetonka will be headlining the night, with a mix of Prince covers and their original tunes, including some from their brand new EP, 'The Honey Garden'. Expect plenty of funk, some jazz and RnB, a killer Batman tribute, and a slew of guest vocalists and musicians.

Lake Minnetonka will be joined on the line-up by Rokai, who will warm things up with plenty of funk, and The Knave will be spinning plenty of Prince and Batman-related tracks before the main event.

There are some prizes on offer for the best dressed, so come dressed as a good guy (eg. Batman, Robin, Alfred, Vicky, etc..), a bad guy (eg. Joker, Catwoman, Riddler, etc...) or else pay homage to the Partyman himself, Prince, on what is also his birthday weekend.
