Rhea John is an emerging Melbourne-based jazz/contemporary vocalist, musician and performer who captures audiences with her sublime musical interpretations, nuanced vocal expressions, excellent elocution and command of the jazz style. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Music, specialising in Jazz and Improvisation, at the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music, Monash University. Upon her entry into the school in 2022, she was awarded with the Monash-Pratt Musician Performance Scholarship (Jazz) and went on to receive the Bornstein Jazz Voice Prize thereafter. Since the commencement of her degree, she has worked and performed alongside the likes of Paul Grabowsky AO, Deborah Cheetham AO, Tony Gould, Kristin Berardi, Rob Burke and Simon Starr, as part of various musical projects such as The Monash Sessions, the Melbourne International Jazz Festival and Inverloch Jazz Festival.
