THE CHRISTENING OFTHE RED LOUNGE

Dave ‘Red’ Whip was “The Sound” of Cherry Bar for a wonderful decade where he mixed for over 5 000 live performances. Red was taken from us too soon. 26 July is Red’s birthday and Cherry is hosting a very special evening to honor the memory of the Great Man.

At 8pm on this night Cherry Bar will be Christening our downstairs area and naming it from now on…The Red Lounge.

We’re pleased to say we’ve even got one of Red’s guitars to unveil and mark the Red Lounge ceremony in a permanent fashion.From 8.30pm upstairs in the Cherry Band Room we will be hosting a carefully and heavily curated three-band line-up where we guarantee you will hear, feel and, if you close your eyes, even SEE Redro Redriguez with you.
